Im trying to remove linux from my HDD. I ran fdisk and made a primary dos partition. When my machine goes to boot in dos it runs the "grub" program. How can I fix this?

I had a very similar problem (using Corel Linux).

What I did:
I booted with a clean DOS 6.22 boot disk;
Use DOS version fdisk;
deleted ALL partitions;
created a primary DOS partition (setting it active);
run the command "fdisk /mbr", to rebuild HDD's master boot record.

It worked fine!
