Hi, I have an AT&T Laptop Globalyst 200 that I just acquired and it is giving me lots of grief. The lady I got it from said it had a broken hard drive so she didn't know much about it. It actually had a broken floppy door so once I got rid of that, the floppy worked. It is a DX50mhz and has a 540mb hd. It won't boot off the hd (presumed blank) so I was using a 6.22 boot disk. It would boot to A: and let me change to C: to load DOS and WINDOWS 3.1. But, when I re-botted, if I set it up to boot off A, it did fine and I could switch to C:. If I had it boot to C:, it would just freeze after the self-test. So, I re-formatted the c drive and tried to re-load the software. Then the keyboard had about 8 keys not working. I re-connected the keyboard cables thinking maybe something was loose, but that didn't seem to help. Then, the keys not working changed to other keys (still 8 of them). Then the keyboard stopped working altogether. I plugged in an exterior keyboard and tried to get in that way. It states that the HiMem.sys file is missing, but I can see it there. I tried moving things around to no avail. I tried re-loading. I tried threatening it - nothing. Then, some keys on the exterior keyboard quit working. Now, the exterior keyboard AND the laptop keyboard don't work at all. I'm thoroughly stuck. Does anyone have any ideas of what's wrong and how to fix this? Or where I can go to get information? Thanks!!!
