invalid system disk

Just built a computer,used a HD I had left over,booted to a flopy start up disk,formated with(/u) command,shoutdown computer.When I started it up againit won't boot from flopy.have Bios settings right.Why won't it boot from flopy,gives me a (invalid system disk ) message. Please E_mail me if you know how to fix this ,Thanks.

That'd be my guess. It won't boot to the hard drive, you formatted it, remember? Or did you accidently format "A"?

The chance is that after formating C: the drive is "clean" and you need to transfer system files from a startup disk to the C: drive for it to work. Sounds like the computer is just reading a blank "c" drive.
