Hey,

okay so i've lost my Internet Explorer icon on my desktop. I went to properties>>desktop>>customize desktop and tried to add it on there but i wasnt even given that option to.

Can you please tell me how i can get the icon
back on my desktop so i wont have to go through several hoops just to get on the Internet??

Hardly a DOS issue.

Highlight the executable. In this case iexplore.exe ; right click and drag to desktop ; choose create shortcut.

If the options listed above haven't helped, you could try:

open IE, click on the tools tab, click on internet options, click on advanced, and then scroll down the list until you find "show internet explorer on desktop." Whether it's checked or not, toggle the selection so that it's unchecked, save the settings, close the browser, and then repeat the steps, but check it.

I lost IE on 2K a few years back and that was the method I tried that worked.
