Hi guys. I want to make a diskette bootable for DOS7.10, but "insufficient memmory" was obtained at the enter keystroke. The mem command tolds that about 460 Kb were free. I reset the machine with the F5 pressed so none of the drivers were loaded into memory. Mem now told 525K free, but still the abobe legend could see at the attempt to sys the diskette. Why? How much memmory does it requieres?
Best regards. Osvaldo, Banfield, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Edit config.sys.You need to load himem.sys and emm386.exe in config.sys first on the boot drive to get enough memory to work any programs.

device=c:\dos\himem.sys
device=c:\dos\emm386.exe NOEMS
dos=high,umb

These lines are the first ones you find in a basic config.sys.Then you load the drivers for hardware.
