Type "chkdsk" at the DOS prompt and it'll tell you. (I forget the exact layout of a chkdsk output and I'm on an NT machine so I can't check. :( ) Or if you can get the case off and see what kind of hard drive it is, it'll probably tell you size as well.

A 386 computer will not run Win95 very well. Personally, I would stick with your Win3 if I had a 386 computer. Win95 on a 486 computer runs too slow for me to really enjoy it.

I agree completely, Preston. I even have some doubts with the size of the hard drive for a 386. She might not be able to install it at all - or at least with no real value for having it as she'd have no space to install anything else.

The good news is, Denise, a 386 with Windows 3.11 on it is perfectly good for writing letters and balancing your budget. If you need more than that, I suggest you donate that old fella to a school and buy a Pentium processor computer for 600 dollars.
