I am trying to install a nic card in my machine with dos 6.22. It's an ethernet 16 lan isa card. The drivers that came with the board have everything from unix to windows but I can't find anything on DOS. I think I need to find the right drivers put them in dir and then put a command in config.sys to point to them. Please let me know if this is the correct procedure and what drivers I need.
Thanks

I am trying to run my network through DOS not through windows 95 can you please help me achieve this thinking.

In order to install a Network Interface Card (or NIC Card) into a DOS - based PC, this requires one of the following drivers (most of which can be downloaded from the manufacturer of the NIC card web site):
a) Netware DOS ODI Driver
In this case, you will be loading the Novell drivers to support the card and connect to Novell Netware version 3.12c and greater. This is supported up to DOS 6.22
b) IPX / Netx drivers
In this case, you are using the Netware generated dos executables to connect to the network. If you use IPX and NETX to connect, you may have to use the dos command to set the version of the operating system (which is greater than 5.0) to think that this is DOS 4.22 or less.Eithor way you can connect to your Netware server. Just be sure to check the file net.cfg and make sure that the protocol of the server is the same as the protocal of the card (ie: 802.3, 802.2, etc).
