Hi
I bought a new Dell laptop and I have a
freeDOS operating system CD
the laptop has no operating system so I was
wondering if there is a step by step instruction
in how to install the freeDOS operating system
on my new laptop thanks

I doubt you can fully enjoy your new laptop by running just FreeDOS. Usually FreeDOS is the alternate OS running inside a virtual machine or via dual boot, the main environment set to Windows or a Linux distribution.

Anyway the CD should offer an installer, I don't know exactly as I ever installed FreeDOS by building it from scratch by myself.

Take a look at FreeDOS site http://www.freedos.org/ and keep in your mind FreeDOS is not for all: it requires a good knowledge of legacy MS-DOS and attitude to do by your own.
