Install cd-rom driver using dos 6.22

I am learning dos.
I need help with installing cd-rom driver.
How is it done?
How to edit config.sys and autoexec.bat?
Or do'es it do it on it's on when driver is installed? Can you show me step by step?

Most floppy versions of CD-ROM drivers will install the files by itself after you type install or setup.
