initial bootup error message

a new one for me. initial bootup of newly built system. error message reads DISK BOOT FAILURE. INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER anybody got a clue what happened and/or what a system disk is when there's no OS?

what that message is telling you is that you cant bootup because there is no operating system on the harddrive. what you need to do is put in your windows 95,98 or what ever operating system disks you have, cd or floppy. and reboot computer with the cd in the cdrom and it will start the installin process. If you are using cd instead of a floppy disk to install operating system you will first need a bootup floppy disk with cdrom support, unless it gives you the option to boot from cdrom. It also may give you the option in your bios setup to boot from cdrom. But thats all it is, there is nothing wrong with system
