If you read my post "IBM 355ce", Here is a update, I cannot get into my bios, period, Whats worse is that I put a seagate 720 mb in the machine, now my laptop won't "spin-up" my hard disk, and tha hard disk is just fine so I put the old HD back into its caddy, and It won't spin up either. I could not format the password protected hard drive, I could get the bios to reconize it, but I kept getting Initalization failures, in dos and with the low level format utility in my bios, on my test computer. Also I could not flash the bios, WHY? because IBM makes their disk "too smart" It wouldn't let me flash the BIOS because I had power managment DISABLED! thats dumb, can't get into the BIOS! IBM! well I will give the comp to my cousin, at least it looks good, and it beeps, this has been a disapointment, eh why password protect a hard drive, have not people heard of ENCRYPTION! A lot of effor for nothing o well I had fun.

Well, I'm sorry to hear you didn't get it working. I'm told that ibm hd passwords are VERY secure.
I'm wondering if you have a defective hd caddy connector cable, or maybe even the connector on the mb got damaged.

To get into your BIOS turn off the machine press down the F1 key and turn it on and keep holding it down and you will get into the BIOS. To remove the password from your hard drive type it in and press the space bar and hit enter. If you do ont know the password then you will have to take it to a IBM dealer and they can remove the password.
I know this cause I have a 760ED/XL half bried. Took two broken laptops and made one out of them.Neo9878

the f1 thing does not work, and this is very puzzling ,, I know it is suposed to have a "easy setup" crap but its like I don't have it, I can press f1 all day long and get nothing done, it dosn't tell me the version of the bios either (I assume it must be a IBM bios i'm sure) I guess the bios is damaged somehow cause f1 dosn't work.

The problem : I forget hard disk Password my lap top.
I believe you knows produce by IBM Think Pad 365xd hard disk Password. If there is a schematic or a technical manual or Crack the bios password for this maschine then that would help greatly.
Thank you very much sincerely,

I know how to remove IBM ThinkPad supper visor Password (or any other which help you access you ThinkPad hard disk password). I done that many time in many years ago and know just for improving my technical knowledge. I design a hardware dangle to do that and could read lots of IBM supervisor password on many models (365, 760, 600, T series). If you need this help I could send you my LPT1 Dongle and the reader program and you could easily read you password and after entering and bypassing that in BIOS access to you HDD and Laptop easy. It cost about US$100 (Depend of model) and you could use the device for as many ThinkPad that you like. Please don’t try to negotiate and ask lots of boring question.
The other things is that I don’t want to know as a hacker and when you asking for help I do that to help you in case if you forgot your password and recover your password. My device is a general purpose device just for programming EEPROM so this doesn’t mean that I will help you to be hacker and I am not hacker too or it been design for hacking. In total I just give you some help and advise that help you to bypass your forgotten password and the rest is none of my business.Cheers
Farhad
