Hi ALL,
I want to format my PC as it was onfect by virus..
The problem is that i have lost my mother board CD.
So there is any way to do it...Neo is here

It's an XP drive? Check my post here:
http://www.computing.net/answers/do...
The motherboard drivers should be available on intel's site. Download and install them after you reinstall XP.

Downloading what ?? and how does this pertain to MS-DOS ??
Quote from DiC's response:
"(Yes this is probably one of those posts that belongs in the XP forum since the formatting procedure is different for dos and XP on NFTS. With XP on FAT32 you can just use an ME or 98 bootdisk. But the specs here indicate a newer system likely on a large NTFS drive.)"

"Downloading what ?? and how does this pertain to MS-DOS ??"
The mobo CD.
As usual, you-know-who is in too much of a hurry to complain to RTFM.

Well OK the MS-DOS FORUM is dead, please post anything here relating to programming, drivers and formatting NT O/Ses.
I sincerely hope that no one comes here looking for **-DOS help!

Das macht nicht. He's here, we can answer his question.
This should be the download page for the motherboard you list:

"There are no MS-DOS drivers listed at:..."
That would be a good thing for a machine running XP.
Skip

Because he's not sure of what he needs to do, how to do it, or who to ask?
In return, instead of help or guidance, he finds himself in the middle of the ongoing DOS vs. everything else war. Ten responses wasted on everything but his problem...
Now, I'm better versed in DOS commands, switches and syntax than command line. One of the reasons I visit this forum is to learn the differences and when the OP's "dos" problem is solved, I usually learn something.
Since errant posts don't get moved to the proper forum here, maybe we could just tell him to download a few good free utilities to get rid of his virus problem or let him know the XP cd would take care of a fdisk/format function.
There's another problem harder to solve though; we'll never get rid of those who post anything anywhere looking for instant gratification.
So; is this person looking for a magic fix or a DOS user suddenly thrust into the XP world? Or maybe just someone who doesn't know where he's going or how to get there?
Dave answered his ? in the first and seventh responses. The rest of our responses are just rehashing the Seven Years' War.
I'll go now

Hi Skip,
I thought Justin had banned the chronic complainer.
Guess not.

If one reported the message was in the wrong forum, then it would be removed and one could not complain.
Why not report instead of answering ????
Maybe answer and state that this Forum is not appropriate for an answer to the OP question ????
Compusave, Glennmcc Forums are both virtually DOS less, BTTR and DRDOSP are mainly for developers, so this is the only **-DOS forum left.
Though if it was added to Win3.1 it would make more sense, as both forums are quiet.
You are the ****** for answering!!!!!!

Some of us would rather help than squawk.

"Please let me know what to do."
Somebody already told you what to do. If you cant' find the motherboard drivers online, post what motherboard you have so someone here can help you.
