I recently downloaded DOS 6.22 from www.kewlone.com and I having problems installing it. when I insert Disk 1 in the computer it says "no system disk" I don't know why it does that since disk 1 has the necessary files. if anyone knows about this problem please help me or e-mail me at Legend3897@aol.com

Those Kewlone disks are not image files, but simply the dos 6.22 files stored as zip files. Clever joke huh? It's fairly easy to fix though if you know how to work with dos's label command, zip files, and dos in general.

Skip all the Bogus MS DOS half pirated software.
Get DR-DOS 7.03;
ftp://ftp.lineo.com/pub/drdos/DR-DOS.703/images/
You need 5 formatted 1.44 Meg floppy disks.
Create a Temporary directory on your hard drive
Download the 5 install disk images
disk01.144
disk02.144
disk03.144
disk04.144
disk05.144Download
mkdskzip.exeDouble click mkdskzip.exe or type mkdskzip.exe from the same temporary directory in DOS.
A few files will be unzipped.
Double click makedisk.exe
Makedisk will give you instructions from there on.
When you are done with all 5 disks, reboot your computer with disk 1 in the floppy drive.
Your DOS installation will begin and you will be prompted for disks.

i am trying to install DOS 6.22 when i rebooted my system it reads invalid system disk. what do i need to do please help

Download an MS-DOS 6.22 bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com. Re-boot your computer from this disk. When the system has booted, insert your MS-DOS install disk #1. At the A:\ prompt, type setup.

If you are absolutely certain that you have correctly downloaded and unzipped the disks properly, obtain a system boot disk for the same version of Dos you are working with. Determine if the boot disk contains the SYS command. If it does, boot your system with this disk and use the SYS command to copy the system files to disk 1 of your installation set. When you are using the SYS command call your disk 1 B:\
