Hi, I hope someone out there might be able to help!! The Doofus maybe, having seen some previous posts.
I have inadvertently lost my pri-dos boot partition whilst trying to create a RAID-0 array on two new HDD's I had connected on my Abit KT7-Raid mobo, for some reason the RAID controller thought I also wanted to use my 30Gb drive as part of the array. I had hit Y to proceed before I realized. I have not fdisked or formatted the 30Gb drive yet and am open to any help anyone can offer as I have about 3Gb of important docs on the drive!!!

DOH! been there boot from a clean floppy matching your OS EX:Dos for wintendos then fdisk /mbr this will rewrite the master boot record. Now if you have lost your OS on the primary boot from floppy and copy your files.
