I tried several times to format my computer but it has this msg:
Checking existing disk format.
Recording current bad clusters.
10 percent completed.
Insufficient memory.
What's wrong? At first it stops at 3 percent completed but then I manually delete some files and it went up to 10 percent completed. Also, I can't perform deltree in DOS (it says bad command file) and I can't manually delete lots of subdirectory. I used 'rd' to remove some directory but some didn't work, can you guys please help me on this problem? Thank you very much in advance...

It would help if you Fdisked it first. Then format.

Are you sure you want to totally wipe your hdd? Because that is what format does.

If you do, I suggest you use the /U and /C options.

Eddie's advice is good to run fdisk first. ]

Good luck - Keep us posted.
