No Dos is no where dead. Go over to the XP win95 linux and networking forums and do a search on using win98 install disks(dos 7) to sort out there systems hdds.

Try a search on google for the Archane web browser its available for dos and linux.

Try the Arachne program for dos based internet.
arachne.browser.org
PTS-DOS also carries this browser with the dos 16 bits full install.Dosshell and CD-ROM auto-configuration is included.
