How to pause DOS 7.1 logo?

Hi,
I was able to successfully create a custom logo and replace the default DOS 7.1 logo (logo.sys). I renamed the default file to logo.old and made the new file logo.sys. i made sure that the bitmap I was using was 320x400, etc. It displays when booting up to DOS, but the problem is that it flashes by too quickly (hardly the blink of an eye really). Is there any way to pause display of the logo for say 10 seconds or so then continue loading DOS?
You'll have to be patient - the DOS forum is a pretty quiet place these days (aside from stray Win2K & XP posts).
If anyone has an answer, they'll reply - Wengier is pretty much the resident DOS7 'guru'
A vague disclaimer is nobody's friend.

Do you boot DOS 7.1 from a floppy or HD?

Why on earth do you want it to take longer? I guess you could try putting more lines in Autoexec.bat, load something that takes a while a few times like a CD-ROM driver.

It's not that I want it to take longer. I would just like a custom logo to appear for more than just a second. Thanks for the reply though.
Summary: Using MS-DOS 7.1, I have changed the logo.sys. However, although the image displays correctly, it only does so for a fraction of a second. I would like to find a way for it to display a bit long...
