If it's a normal XP CD and the CD drive is R:

r:\i386\winnt

You might want to add smartdrive to a 98se boot disk and load it before installing windows through the winnt.exe file.

Actually you can get a premade boot disk with everything you need already on it.....google for 98se boot disk with smartdrive.

it will cut the install time down by more than 50%and success
rate up by 75%
