I have a problem. My Op. System is in English but I want to run a program in Spanish that has to encript some files. When I start the process I receive an error message about my computer date. I changed the date from english to spanish format in Windows but the error remains. Anybody can tell me how to change the date format in DOS. E.g: From MM/DD/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY.
Thanks..
Please: send me an email.

cant see it happening, if setting the country settings to spanish in dos dont work.
The date format is setout in the FAT, so it depends on why you want to view dos files in that date format?

To change the date format in DOS you need simply to adjust your config.sys file, I will post back later with instructions.
Mr O. Why do I get the feeling that you're baiting me? The date of a file is not stored in the FAT.

Ever wondered how DOS stores data on disks?

Jon Fox is right. The codepage is setup when you boot your system by commands in your config.sys (If no instructions are given the default USA codepage is loaded) The example given is for a Windows 95/98 system and should be changed to

country=034,850 c:\dos\country.sys

if added to a DOS based config.sys file

(034 being the codepage for Spain)
