From Start -> Run: Type in command. It pops the MS DOS window up, and type in help. It will show many basic comands, and if you wanna learn some advanced commands, I suggest to learn a bit of C or Python.

Thanks to response #4. I am new to learning dos only for a certificate. I have been with computers since 1983, thank goodness, and I remember some of this stuff,for the most part I am lost in the dark with a small amount of light shinging in. Just need to keep reading and ask alot of questions. Thanks for the link, Angela
