If it is a DOS based program. You just type the name of the EXE file and ENTER.

So to start a program called game1.exe located in C:\GAMES

type cd\games [enter]
type game1 [enter]

If it is DOS based program, it should run now. If it is windows based program, you will get a message saying that this program requires windows.

Some of the executable files are .COM files, but it is still done the same way. You type GAME1 even if the file is GAME!.COM instead of Game1.exe.
