There are two ways:
1. If you want to make a bootable disk using the sam version of DOS running on your computer, put a blank floppy disk in your a: drive, then go to your DOS directory and type the following command:
sys.com a:
That will transfer the bootup files from the c: hard drive to the a: floppy.
Another way is:
format a: /s
that formats the a: drive and places the system bootup files on it.
The second way is when you want to make a boot disk that isn't the same version of DOS you're running on your computer. You have to download a program for that:
http://support.micronpc.com/file_lib/boot.html
Look for the DOS 6.22 disk boot making program and download it. Run it (dosbot29.exe) and it will create a DOS6.22 boot disk on your floppy disk using boot files stored inside the program rather than what's on your hard drive.

Bill, Preston says that first, he then goes on to say you can download a readymade bootdisk from http://support.micronpc.com/file_lib/boot.html And I for one think it is a very good answer

If you are updateing your BIOS on an old board, I would learn basic computing first.. And that includes how to create a Bootdisk. No wonder so many users cook the BIOS when updating! They DO NOT know what they are doing! Otherwise leave well alone.
