How do i install windows 95 if my computer only has Msdos 6.22? i got a Canon Mt 7030 Innova Media. Everytime i try to install it it says this file cant run in msdos mode ive checked the c drive and theres no version of windows

Follow the following procedure:
Create a file in your root directory called config.sys. In that file, insert the line "device=c:\vide-cdd.sys /d:mscd001". Dos v6.2 comes with edit.com so just type edit at the prompt which should allow you to create config.sys. Next find a file called vide-cdd.sys and copy it to c:\. The file can be found on the diskette which came with your cd drive, or possibly on the Win95 CD (I can't remember for sure). If not, then you should be able to find that file by searching for it on the internet.
Next, reboot your computer. At the prompt, type "mscdex /d:mscd001 /v". It should enable your cd drive. If it says bad command or file name, that is because the file called mscdex.exe is not in the current path, so go to whichever directory that file is in and retype the command there. Now your CD drive should work, so go to the root directory of your cd drive and type "setup". That's it.

"This file will not run in DOS mode" suggests the possibility of an upgrade. An upgrade requires some version of Windows be on your computer before it will install. So you need to install Windows 3.xx before trying to install it if an upgrade version is the problem.

i have a problem with win95 installation , after the 1st step of installation when the computer restarts the computer does not boot from hard disk displaying invalid disk error
help me
