Hi how do I install tandy deskmate to my computers hard drive. I have an old laptop that I fdisked and i want to install tandy deskmate on it but the disks I have seems to be only usable if i run it off the disks how do i install the files on the disk to my hard drive? Or is there another version of deskmate that has an installer built in?

UHmmm..... Tandy Deskmate is not an operating system - you will need some flavor of DOS - or Windows 95 or 98 and boot into DOS-mode.

Yep, either DR-DOS7.xx or FreeDOS will suffice, may I also suggest you look into FreeGEM5 as a Desktop!

Some tandy branded systems had Deskmate in Rom and they would automatically boot to deskmate from the rom if setup to do so, you need the setup program to choose this though
