Boot your system from a DOS installation disk. If you haven't got one, you can get the FreeDOS installation disk from www.freedos.org for free. After the DOS is installed successfully, then you can install and run Windows 3.x from DOS.

You should NOT install DOS via a normal DOS boot disk! The (bootable) DOS installation disk is required to install DOS onto the system. Get one if you don't have it yet.

a) you do not advise the processor your pc has.

b) I would suggest you consider installing W98, or if your pc is old and will not allow installation of this version, try W95. In my opinion, both these versions of windows are far superior to the earlier versions.

Each contains dos as a subset, which is installed at the same time.

Good luck - Keep us posted.

Yes, I tried installin windows 98, 98se, and 95 on this computer, these version didnt work properly,(it has a co-processor,) they would install, and then go blank after i would install the drivers and restart it, so i decided to install win3.1

thanks for the advice:)
