Help me!! I`m using DOS6.22 (no windows) and I want to use a joysick when playing games. It`s a simple joysick that has only one button (from a commodore64 or whatever) and I want it in the COM2 port. Where can I get a driver for it? Thank you..

The commodore joysticks doesn't have the same pinouts as PC joysticks, and they don't use a serial interface either, so you can't connect it to you com port. You could theoretically connect the joystick to the parallel port, but you would need some obscure driver for that and also some hardware to make the joystick pins get to the right place on the parallel port. It would all probably be more expensive than buying a new joystick.

I have done this in the past with a serial breakout box that crosses the wires. But its all a waste of time really as very few DOS games use joysticks anyway!

Well,
I agree that messing around with rewiring a joystick isn't worth the effort since you can find a cheap joystick for $10 US.
I think I got the one that I am using in a 2 for $5 clearance sale.
However, I was playing a DOS, cycle racing game last night, with a joystick. I have 2 other DOS games that I use the joystick with.
