I konw system can be booted by USB-boot-CD.so i load USBCDROM driver to flopy disk, the flopy disk is a W98 bootable disk and the driver named duse.exe.The flopy disk can boot system and mount USBCDROM.Then i clone a bootable CD and insert the CD to USBCDROM,reboot my system form USBCDROM,but it cann"t work. need your help. thanks!

Think about it. Your Win98 bootdisk mounts your USBCDROM driver using a driver called. named duse.exe So how is this driver going to be read from the CD-ROM if it is not mounted first. NOT POSSIBLE.

ok guy ... download http://www.benq.com.au/products/cdr/service/drivers/cdrom/apicd214.exe
It's a cdrom usb driver for dos. Make a bootdisk and update confis.sys and autoexec.bat with the help file (this program is an self-extracting file). Remenber that and it's an answer to ALL PEOPLE WHO WHANT A CDROM USB DRIVER FOR DOS... this question have a lot of hits... good luck!!!

2 SEC!!!! BAD LINK!!! Sorry .... see http://www.boomspeed.com/darkehorse/PC/DOS/Drivers/USB/index.shtml and downlad usb_cd.sys

I know this is not directly related to booting from USB CD-rom drive but it does involve USB drivers for DOS. My friends motherboard has lost the ability to use a regular keyboard. It does not have onboard USB so there is not native USB keyboard support. He has a USB card and needs to be able to use the USB keyboard within DOS. Are there any DOS USB drivers out there that will let him detect the keyboard in dos?

Hello sidgilles,
Sorry for the stupid question, but I cannot understand how (in config.sys?) and where (in the win98se boot disk?) to update info about new driver - usb_cd.sys. Would you explain me procedure step by step please. I am not an advance computer user and my knowledge about dos is miserable. I just want to see my external cd-rw (as a cd-rom) under dos and then to import an image file with Norton Ghost. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Galin.
