i need to kno how do you hide a file in ms-dos
i frined do a thing he go to ms-dos ( Command Prompt ) then typ some thing + alt.... ( when he open the folder it says folder dosnt exister some thing like that can some one tell me how???

There is no MS-DOS in WinXP. In order to use MS-DOS, you need to install MS-DOS from its installer or boot your system from a MS-DOS boot disk first.

If you mean to hide a folder in *NT System Console* (Command Prompt), you may try add a hidden attribute to the folder (directory) like this:
ATTRIB +H <folder name>

Simply RIGHT CLICK on the folder in question, select PROPERTIES, and then check the box marked HIDDEN
This will cause the folder to be exactly that, Hidden...:o)Safe Computing..:o)

i kmo that ( i'm saying that u do some thing in ms-dos and it make the folder says the folder dos not exister( in a popupBox) (but i can see the folder ) after when i do the same thing i can open the folder
