On your machine go into control panel... double click on add / remove programs...click on make disk tab. Or you can open a dos window... click on the start button... scroll up to programs... scroll down to ms-dos prompt and click on it. Once in the dos window type format a: /s and hit return. This will make a basic boot disk for the other machine. Be sure and change the other machine's bios boot order to A: C:
Once the other machine is booted check to see if there is any data on the hdd that can be recovered.

hope it was of use.
