HELP - sony Vaio notebook problem

CPU/Ram: Intel Pentium IV /512 RAM

I have sony vaio PCG-GRS100 and I have trouble with it. Itried to watch vcd using this notebook and it work perfectly fine at another PC but in this notebook the picture is really blurry and suddenly the movie stopped and they throw me out back at the windows and it happened very frequently does anybody know what happened with the notebook? also is any sony vaio notebook able to read not-original VCD/DVD/CD?
