Unfortunately I formated a drvspace drive!!! On this drive I had a lot of useful data and now I dont't know how to recover them. I tried the DOS unformat command, but this found only some of the deleted file. With Diskeditor I tried to find the deleted files, but after finding them and writing in another drive, I was unable to read their content. The unformat command from Norton Utility helped me to recover some files, but their data again are impossible to acces.
I have to mention that I need help to recover only Word document files.

Can somebody help me? A lot of thanks in advance!!!

Try the data recovery software from my web page. I used it to to recover a hard drive I purchased that had been formatted blank. It worked great in that example. However, you may have to tinker around configuring it since the software is self booting from a diskette, you'll need to load drvspace/dblspace drivers and "mount" the compressed drive so the recovery software can see it. If you have problems configuring it, let me know and I'll help you make it work.

Be warned the software is slow, might take hours depending on your system speed.

Erm, a compressed drive can be formatted. Once mounted, the compressed drive has a drive letter. You can defrag it, scandisk it, or format it. You just can't fdisk it.

Easy to format compressed drive whether it be C: A: or B:

DRVSPACE /FORMAT C:

To recover files is a different story though. if unformat doesn't work, well i suggest that next time keep a BACKUP copy of all files on separate disk.
