Have a laptop running W95(Version 4.00.1111) but i can' get a help file to pull up fromthe dos prompt. Is there a website I might be able to download the help files for this version? Did a dir check and couldn't find a help file. Don't think I have for some reason. Also edit command doesn't work in DOS have to do all my editing in windows. Appreciate the help.

Windows 95 and 98 do not have the Help File as standard, But what you can do is get a copy of OLDDOS.exe which has the MS-DOS 6.22 files missing from 95/98 (Including Help) You will find OLDDOS.exe on my PowerLoad Resource Pages on the 9x page.

You can find the some of the OLD DOS commands on your Win95 CD. If you have one. The path is
D:\other\oldmsdos
Where D: is the letter to your CD-ROM drive. Just copy all of the commands to the
C:\windows\commands
folder on your harddrive.

Summary: I am using DOS 7.10 that came with Windows98SE and I found its quite kripled compared to DOS 6.22. My question is, is there a way I can install/download the HELP file for DOS 7.10? Thanks in advance...
