I just recently got a bigger hard drive, I put it in my system to see how it is and installed Win ME on it. I disconnected my regular hard drive and used the new one to test ME. My old one has win 98 1st edition on it. I started to enjoy ME and now that is my primary hard drive but there is a few things in my older drive that I still want. the question is How do I transfer those files over to my new hard drive. most are very large and can't fit on floppy's. is it possible. any infor would be helpful.

If you need programs they need to be re-installed. All other files (Image, DATA, Zips, MP3... ect) can be accessed if you make your old drive a SLAVE Drive and attach it back onto cable. It will become next drive in line and then transfer files accross to new drive. You may even want to keep it!

You should be able to install your old drive as a slave drive. This way you will gain acces to both drives and can transfer your files directly. Or better yet, you can keep both installed, provided you don't need the bus for something else. Check your old drive's jumpers to set it as slave and plug it to a free bus. Your CMOS should detect it, but if not, you may have to input the settings manually. Write the settings you can read on the old drive down before installing it.
