I put a new hard drive in my computor about 8 months ago. There was nothing wrong with the old hard drive, it just didn't have enough space & I wanted to upgrade. Just recently the "new" hard drive dumped all the files!?! Why I have no idea. So I tried the "slave drive" thing, but all I keep getting is a blue screen saying the "system is busy"
All I want is to have my "new" hard drive working agian. And it took me forever to even get past the DOS screen ( that was all the "new" hard drive would do after dumping the files. And I'm not even sure if I have gotten the "old" files from the "old" hard drive to the "new" hard drive, or if I'm doing it right!! S.O.S. please any help would be great!!!

Hi,

Seem to me like CMOS lost information about hard drive. Try to reinstall your new HDD in CMOS.

Good luck, Igor M
