(which cannot be done without external software) Or do you just want to run DOS in graphics mode? (which can be done without external software)

Reply: (edit)I am a little unclear on what you are trying to do also. I have a CD in the "box in the closet" archive that allows windows games to run in DOS.(speeds them up I guess)
But I have a feeling that's not what you want so I will refer you to a book put out by PC magazine called "DOS Powertools". I have one that is pretty outdated so I don't know what the latest version would be but it's a shot. This one I have is as thick "War and Peace" and would have come with a diskette if I hadn't bought it at a used book store. It amazed me what that old dos could do with a switch or two or writing a .bat command, etc.
