Always DOS based.
The Ghost 2002 has several possibilities to recover Image files from HDs.
1 Boot CD on both Computers connected with USB. On older Computers there is no Problem to Connect them and pull over the created Image file. Problem: Laptop Compaq Evo600c I'm not able to see an USB Cable connectet. Probably an Chipset Problem but not shure. ???Where can I get the Drivers Update or what is the Problem ? ??

2. Situation: c:\200MB DOS Partition; d:\17GB WIN2K Partition NTFS; E:\10GB NTFS Partition. If I start Up with bootable CD on Compaq Evo600c I can't safe the Image file from d: to e:. I can only pull and safe this file on CD-R writer but then I get a failure, because probably the CDwriter is not reconised from Ghost.
3. I can't connect AN external HD because Compaq doesn't use a Standart HD Terminal as on other Laptops.... WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF MONOPOL....

Don't take offense but it's hard to make out what you are saying.

1) Again I'm not really sure what you are asking. Are you booting to DOS on a computer via a USB connected CD? And now you are trying to transfer an image to a PC with a USB transfer cable from one PC to the next? Let me first say this, other than specific support by hardware vendors, THERE IS NO VIABLE USB SUPPORT FOR DOS. I.E. If your BIOS doesn't support it or your USB hardware manufacturer doesn't provide a DOS driver (which is very unlikely), then your USB device will not work in DOS.

2) If I understand you correctly, your trying to save the image file onto an NTFS drive. You can't do that without a 3rd party NTFS DOS driver. DOS can't write to an NTFS partition natively, it has nothing to do with Ghost or even Compaq. When saving image files with Ghost, you are limited to the file system capabilities of the DOS you are using. If you want to be able to do this, you need to go here:

Good luck and reply back if I didn't understand you correctly.

I got 2 Computers connected with an USB Cable and I make a A: DOS Startup with the entries of USB Drivers. I start ghost and then I can transfer and use all the ghost function.
1. I connect Compaq Evo 600c to one of them. and the 1 Problem apears: On the Starting window under DOS I can see how he can find the USB Port, but if 'm in the Ghost set up, then the error message appears: No USB Cable connected.
2. Thanks I got the file...
