Hi, I am a software tester, and all the test PC's have ghosts set up for each operating system and configuration.
I am trying to streamline the way we load these ghosts into a more user friendly manner.
Current setup is this:
C:\ - Ghosts are loaded onto this drive
D:\ - Data Storage
E:\ - Ghost Image Storage (*.GHO)I have a DOS based boot menu using a Win98 boot disk which displays a menu for installing the ghosts.
What I want to do is elimate the boot disk, and have the ghost menu boot up first (from HDD) and display for a minute, and if no selection is made, continue loading the currently installed operating system.
Is this at all possible, or what are the alternatives to using a boot disk?
Kind Thanks,
Ben

modify your config.sys and autoexec.bat with multi menu. The ghost can be execute without and inter-action. If you just need to restore a partition from a .gho file. you can do ghost -clone,mode=pload,src=filename:1,dst=1:1 -sure where filename:1 is the ghost file's first partition and dst=1:1 is restored to first hard disk and the first partition.
