You need to load up whatever your driver is in config.sys, and mscdex in your autoexec.bat

U can find an universal driver for cd-rom on win98 boot disk,
open the autoexec.bat and config.sys, copy/paste (about mscdex.exe...) the lines into your boot files
doon't forget to take the driver and to modify the lines with the place of the driver on youre harddisk
