Comment:
I have setup a virtual disk using VMWare under Windows 2000 and would like a a CD-ROM device driver for DOS that will run my DVD drive (compatible with CDROM) under DOS. I know I can find one on the Win 95 or 98 setup disks and copy to a floppy but was wondering whether there was something better on the Web.

The 'OAK Technoligies' CD-ROM Driver on the Windows 9x Setup Disks is OK. Mick C has a CD-ROM page at www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk which has a few otheres. You are indeed correct DVD Drives use a standard IDE CD-ROM Driver, untill DVD software is installed.
