Comment:
I just found out about GBasic, the BASIC dialect for DOS which has seveeral graphics routines. Only one problem: The homepage where you could download it from is gone! I haven't been abel to find another website which has it. Does anyone know of another loaction where it could be found?
Um, I'm not using the hacked version of MS-DOS 7.1. I'm using the official, unmodified DOS 7.1 from Windows 98. It's isolated from Windows 98, I installed it without Win98 using a Win98 boot disk, but it's still the official, legal version of DOS 7.1. I never touched that stupid Weingier DOS thing, I try to stay away from illegal software, thank you. Thanks for jumping the gun.
Thank you, but I'm not talking about gwbasic, the one I'm looking for is just called GBasic. It's easy to confuse them since their names are so similar. Not to mention it would be illegal to download any of those versions of MS BASIC on that site, as none of them are supposed to be available for download anyway. Thanks anyway.
"Below is the Disk Operating System message area. This forum is for all Standalone versions of DOS, not the "DOS" prompt contained inside later versions of Windows."
Franki... I know that the DOS forum is meant for standalone versions of DOS. Though my DOS 7.1 is the one from Win98, I have installed it without Win98 being present. I am using it as a standalone DOS, even if that is not what it was meant to be used for. Therefore I thought it was completely appropriate to post this here. As for downloading QBasic... Tried it, didn't really like it. I have found a better programming language for DOS, though... FreePascal. Its harder to learn than BASIC, but it is more advanced. Again, thanks to everyone who tried to help.
