ftp folder from DOS prompt

Hello guru,

I'm trying to ftp from the DOS prompt, and on the ftp mode how can can I ftp the folder up the server, and how can delete complete folder remote from the server.

I do not know which FTP client are you using, but take a look at 4NT at www.jpsoft.com, it allows you to access FTP servers such a local folders, ie: dir "ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/pub"

I use ftp from dos promtp.. it's not a third party software, but I use the ftp command from DOS promt.

If you want to get multiple files or a directory type "mget"
then it will ask for files or a directory name

If you want to upload a directory use the "mput" command.

Try using redirections.
Ie: ftp - Contents of in-
open ftp.microsoft.com
anonymous
nobody@nobody.com
dir
cd /pub
mget *.*
y

'mget *.*' and/or 'mput *.*' will do the trick

mkdir for creating, and rmdir (?) for removing ...
