I HAVE A DOS (Http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.0-Testing/ (7.5 MB CD distro)) THIS IS A BOOTABLE .ISO ILE. I BURNT IT TO A BLANK DISK. EVERTHING SEEMS FINE .BUT WHEN I TRIED TO BOOT TO THIS CD (BY SELECTING CD AS MY FIRST BOOT DEVICE) ..BOOM. IT SIMPLY SHOWS A BLACK SCREEN WITH A PROMPT"BOOT:" WHAT DOES THIS MEAN....

[1] turn off caps lock
[2] does the CD have just one file? an ISO?

Probably wrongly.

But is not. You have to do "burn ISO", not to drug&drop the ISO file onto the CD.

I burnt the iso file to a blank disc by Nero, i didn't drag & dropped the file. everything seemes ok means in explorer(windows) i found allmost all files in place. the cd appered with a dos icon and viewed some of the documents etc..etc.. when i tried to boot from it..
can not find Kernel image boot:
this is the exat message i get. any help..!

For me it DOES boot. (new 08/03 distro).
Can you boot other CD's ?
