formated my hard drive(6.5 gig)
cant re load windows 95 or 98 NTLDR is missing cant boot to dos i guess xp has no dos i need to create a dos boot partition please help

Go to bootdisk.com and download a bootdisk image. Win85b or later with large disk support.

Create the bootdisk.

Boot from the disk.

Run fdisk.exe.

Delete any patitions.

Create a primary partition. Majke it active.

Reboot uing the floppy.

Format the disk, just type "format /s" without the quotes. Th"/s" makes the Hdd bootable.

After formting is finished reboot without the floppy in the drive.

Failing the above partion magic 7 should sort it out.
