When i use FORMAT command in dos to format a HD, the HD will be formatted as FAT32, but i want to format it as FAT16, how can i do that. Thanks

Try to find MSDOS 6.22 disk # 1 or download it from the internet, that should do it.

Hi,

I think you can't just get DOS 6.22 FORMAT and format HDD to FAT16. The type of file system is defined by FDISK while creating partitions on hard drive. When you run FDISK from Win95b or Win98 (which supports FAT32) it asks you if you wand to enable large drive support. If you answer YES you will have FAT32, if NO you will have FAT16. So I think you need repartition you HDD to get FAT16 back.

Then, say FDISK not FORMAT. It seems that you were done for partition and need just formatting.
