HELP!
All of a sudden I can no longer format disks on my dos-machine (dos 6 and 6.22).
The format procedure is carried out completely, but at the end I receive the error message: "Track 0 damaged; Disk unusable". It does not matter what format or parameters I specify, I simply can't format diskettes any more. Is this a software problem or has my drive gone bankrupt? I have been using DOS for almost 20 years now and have never had this trouble. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like either the disk drive or the I/O card/connection.

Don't like to fiddle around with the insides of a computer - but seems indeed the only thing left.
Thanks for reply.
