Floppy-Controlled Tape Backup

Is there any "generic" tape backup program that will backup data from the harddrive to QIC tape drive connected through the floppy controller? I have 3 drives-a Irwin, Mountain and one that doesn't have a name it just says SE120. I have tried Iomega for DOS, but when it tries to detect a tape drive the light flashes on the drive and it says no tape drive found. If I leave a tape in the drive while detecting it says Please remove tape. Then No Tape Drive Found. I know these are out of date but it works well for old computers.

I used a QIC tape drive in my old job, although it was connected via a parallel port and not through the floppy drive. I will check to see what software I used. I used DOS software with it, software written for Win3.1x/WFW, and software written for Win9x. I am almost certain that the DOS software I used was called "Arcada Backup." Actually, now that I think about it, there was another DOS-based program I used that I believe was put out by Central Point Software. I don't remember the name of it, though. I think it might've been called "CP Backup." I might even have the installation floppies for some of these in the boxes of stuff I have from that job.
