Anyone here knows how to let FLOPPY DRIVE working independently (100% background), during writes mostly (reading donīt hang system for a while)? Itīs terrible, and I someday had 2 floppy drivers, with TERRIBLE results, when trying to use them BOTH.

What are you doing in Windows that require
that much floppy disk access?

Floppy drive service under Windows must be
last on the interupt chain.

If the drive times out and stops spinning
you have to wait for it to reach speed
before it writes you data.

If you application closes the file after
each write you have to wait for the FAT to
be reread everytime you write.

I don't think any add on drivers will help
that much. Better write to Hard Drive then
copy to floppy. You might find an program
that would automatically copy to the floppy
at intervals.

More details please.

Since the floppy drives are on the same IDE channel, don't access them both at once or in close succession. I use floppies all the time and i know it's a pain.
