Floppy drive behaving strangely!

Hi everyone,
I am running DOS 6.22 with WFWG 3.11 and I am having problems with the floppy drive where before it was working just fine.
I can read and write the first diskette no problem but when I put a different diskette into the drive it doesn't read it at all. All the DIR command shows are the files from the previous diskette. The strange thing is, I can still copy the files from the first diskette to the hard disk even though it isn't even in the floppy drive or if another diskette is in there instead. I get the same problem with windows.

Hi,
Floppy drive has the sensor which recognizes disk change. If this sensor not work properly drive will not recognize new disk inserted. Check out ribbon cable connection to the drive - it can be lose contact. And if this not help try to clean inside of the drive or change the drive.
Good luck, Igor M
