I can help you but, but the information I give you is for educational purposes and I wont be reliable for how you misuse the information nor my ISP (Ok enough of that crap)
First question, is the email through outlook express? Hotbot.com whatever
Second: Install a invisible keylogger?
Third: If you have 2 pc's can be online at the same time. Uninstall his Virus Scanner or any other trojan or virus detection programs. Install Netbus server on his machine. Get his IP (go in there, click on start, go to run, type in Winipcfg)
write it down
go back in your room
where ever
install the client for the trojan on your machine, load it up, put in his ip, and it isnt hard to figure out what to do, watch every move he makes. ..Which TROJANS or KEYLOGGERS are not Hacking, but it can help to know if a family member is screwing around under your nose.

Thanks, Anonymous, from all of us. Thank you for sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. Thanks for helping him perpetrate his small bit to injure the privacy of small parties behind a guise of genuine concern. Thanks for remaining anonymous throughout and exerting your right to what little privacy we have left- for not giving me the chance to bust your nose.

Until a child pays rent and is over the age of 18 in your house, there is no such thing as their privacy, especially when it comes to what they do online. A child (0-18) is the parent's responsibility for anything they do. Therefore, nothing is off-limits to invading a child's "privacy" online.
I suppose that if your child uses the computer to help him/her plan a school shooting, I'm sure no one will come to you and ask, "Why didn't you know about this?! Why didn't you monitor what they were doing on the computer?! Why did my child die because you were too concerned with not invading your child's privacy?!" That might be a little extreme but you get the point.
Secret spying to see what your kids are doing online is not a bad thing at all. If nothing's going on....GREAT! But if it intercepts a message from a child molester chatting everyday with your daughter (or son), and you prevent a possible rape or worse, how are going to feel then?
Contrary to popular belief, kids don't always make the right decisions. That's why we're here to help them along the way. But if we keep our heads in the sand on what our kids are doing, it will most certainly spell disaster.
Finally, there is a parent out there with a back bone who cares about his kid's welfare. In this day in age of kids telling parents what to do and someone crying child abuse if a parent raises an eyebrow, I just wish that there were more parents like you out there. I sincerily thank you, Bill!

Maybe Bill is an controlling, abusive parent...maybe he is the greatist dad in the world.
It just goes to show that at any given moment any opinion may be the correct one.
___steven

... well that's just it - we don't know.
I for one would like to afford any human being the right to the dignity that is privacy, Gary's opinion notwithstanding. (All evidence to the contrary, kids ARE human beings)
If a serious crime is suspected, take the appropriate steps. If poor judgement is the issue - jeeze - I've heard talking can have results. Otherwise, maybe you should sell the computer and stick to reading the kid's diary.

listen you little babies who think this guy invaded his kids privacy:
maybe his kids were chatting with somebody
who pretended to be older and was plotting to rape his children. what if there were other things that the kids were talking about that could get them into danger that they would not tell their father.shut up ok. he's doing the right thing by
involving himself in his kids life.so leave him alone. and for you "redman", you oh so holier than thou asswipe:
"Thanks, Anonymous, from all of us. Thank you for sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. "
who asked for you opinion you skank?
