Get a Paralel or Serail File Transfer Cable (Also called LapLink Cables) and a copy of LapLink or FastLynx from www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk

Fastlynx is the same as Dos Interlnk & Interserver. M$ apparently bought Fastlynx and fixed it so it would only run on M$ Dos, not DR DOS, etc.

if you aren't interested in crap using file managers (and would prefer an interlnk/intersvr replacement) then use "XTLINK". I uploaded it there.

If you are using MS-DOS, interlnk is the best option because you have Interlnk.exe and Intersvr.exe in your DOS directory. All you need is a parallel port male to male cable. Make two boot disks if you are running Windows 9.XX or up and put intersvr on one and put interlnk.exe on the other and make a config.sys with the line
DEVICE=INTERLNK.EXE in it. Then boot each computer with one of the disks. This saves a lot of confusion. You don't have to reboot, but you do have to exit to DOS if you are running Windows. When you do this you then invoke intersvr from whatever directory you have it in. It will not run from a windows DOS prompt. And you have to have booted the other Windows with a device line for interlnk in the config.sys.

FastLynx is NOT the same as InterLink and Microsoft never bought it. It is still available and is now a 32bit program. It was never had the same sales push as LapLink, but I feel is better to use!

Check out the DOS version at powerload and see!

xtlink is real handy, and about 10 times easier to figure out than interlink. However, I would imagine most people who are not all that familiar with dos would use laplink and find it easier. (ll3.exe) A great old program, still handy yet today.
